The EqualizerSM

An Automatic "Buy Low/Sell High" Investment Strategy

The age-old investment rule, "Buy Low and Sell High," is also the hardest to follow - no one wants to put more money into a sinking ship, and it's even harder to quit when you're ahead.

Take the emotion out of investing and automate the process with the Equalizer, a feature that helps you try to buy low and sell high. This easy to understand strategy starts with equal amounts of net premiums in the Fixed Account and the MetLife Stock Index Division or BlackRock Aggressive Growth Division. Each calendar quarter, these amounts are "equalized" again. Say you choose the MetLife Stock Index Division. If it outperforms the Fixed Account, gains are transferred into the Fixed Account at the end of the quarter - "selling high."

Conversely, if the Fixed Account outperforms the MetLife Stock Index Division, cash value is transferred into the MetLife Stock Index Division - "buying low."

Nothing can guarantee that you won't buy right before stocks go down or sell right before they rise, but the Equalizer can help by automatically applying this discipline.
