Traditional approaches to replicating the S&P 500 Index^® are generally less than ideal because other products may experience tracking error, charge investment management fees or under-perform in rising markets relative to the index. MetLife's Equity Index Plus^SM provides the index-committed investor a cost-efficient way to fully replicate the performance of the S&P 500 Index¹ and obtain a guaranteed enhancement provided the contract is held to maturity. Equity Index Plus provides a guaranteed² return equal to the S&P 500 Index including dividends, plus an annual enhancement of 5 basis points or 10 basis points guaranteed, depending on chosen contract term. 3 year contract = 5 basis point annual enhancement³ 5 year contract = 10 basis point annual enhancement³
