NEW YORK, October 2, 2006 – Myrna F. Solomon, head of the Bank Channel at MetLife Investors Distribution Company (MetLife Investors) was elected to serve on the American Bankers Insurance Association’s board of directors at the association’s annual conference held in Washington.
ABIA’s mission is to develop policy and provide advocacy for banks in insurance and support bank-insurance operations through research, education, compliance assistance, and peer-group opportunities. The separately chartered affiliate of the American Bankers Association is the only full-service association for bank-insurance interests based in Washington, D.C.

Solomon joined MetLife Investors in January 2006 from Fidelity Investments. She has nearly 20 years experience and throughout her career, she has held numerous national and regional management positions.
