METLIFE EXECUTIVE TO SPEAK AT CITIGROUP SEMINAR
 
 

NEW YORK, October 10, 2006 – MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced today that Kathleen A. Henkel, senior vice president in the company’s Institutional Business segment, will be one of several presenters at Citigroup’s Implications of Pension Protection Act (PPA) Seminar on Friday, October 13, 2006 at 9:45 a.m. (ET). The seminar will review the implications of the recently enacted PPA on U.S. life insurers and benefit consulting companies.

A live audio Webcast of Henkel’s presentation will be available over the Internet at http://www.veracast.com/webcasts/citigroup/pension06/33104155.cfm. Those who want to listen via the Internet should go to the Web site at least fifteen minutes prior to the presentation to download and install any necessary software. A replay of the presentation will be available until 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at the same Web site beginning shortly after the presentation.
