MetLife’s internal auditing department is responsible for auditing throughout MetLife and its affiliates, encompassing all of our worldwide business activities.  Simply put, this is a team that determines how to measure and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our business activities.

Our auditing department is made up of a diverse group of business and technical specialists with industry and company-specific experience.  Almost half of our associates have joined the department from other areas of the company, including major lines of business, information technology, financial management, investments, legal affairs, and our international and domestic subsidiaries.  Many other team members have come from major accounting firms and financial services companies.  We believe this diversity of background is a key advantage in helping us achieve our goal of providing value-added, world-class internal audit services for the enterprise.
