MetLife Pro-Am Cycling Team

About
The MetLife Pro-Am Cycling team was born in 2008 after MetLife assumed the role of title sponsor to the Hawley-Racksmith Cycling Team. Beginning as a presenting sponsor in 2007, MetLife immediately raised the bar and enabled the addition of key riders. With the 2009 season, MetLife returns for its second year as the team’s title sponsor and is armed with a national marketing strategy that will allow the team to compete at events across the country. The team is scheduled to race at various regional events and hopes to turn heads in the larger Pro-Am races peppered nationwide throughout the spring and summer.

Charitable Involvement
MetLife Pro-Am Cycling believes in leveraging their unique character to help in various charitable endeavors throughout the season. In 2009, the team will donate 100% of proceeds from the Turtle Pond Circuit Race to the Loudon Elementary School Technology Fund and the Dr. Dennise Maslakowski Graduate Education Scholarship Fund. Money donated to the elementary school will help ease the costs of buying new computers and other technology applications.

2009 Turtle Pond Circuit Race
Once again, the infamous Turtle Pond Circuit Race returns in 2009. Set on quiet, wooded roads on the outskirts of Concord and Loudon, New Hampshire, this early season event features rolling, well-paved roads, a curving, refreshing descent, great crowds, and two leg-busting climbs. Now into its fifth year under team direction, Turtle Pond is synonymous with quality April bike racing in New England. For more information including how to register, click here.
