The dental benefits program featuring the MetLife Preferred Dentist program (PDP). Dentists participating in the PDP agree to accept negotiated fees as "payment in full" for services rendered to plan participants. Plan participants can receive benefits for dental services either from participating PDP dentists or from out-of-network dentists.
Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO)
Dental HMO plans are offered in California, Florida and Texas. This type of plan provides in-network benefits only. Enrolled members pre-select a primary care dentist from the Find a Dentist directory and visit that dentist for all dental services. There are typically no calender year maximums, deductibles, waiting periods, or claim forms. Patient co-payment is required for certain procedures.
