The MetLife Preferred Dentist Program (PDP), our PPO, is the foundation upon which we have built a wide range of dental options. With our PDP, you can feel confident you’ll be offering solutions to help you meet your clients' benefit objectives from both a cost and value perspective – with plans employees appreciate.
A thoughtful approach to plan design
Dental Plan Design: Through our thoughtful, practical, and consultative approach to plan design, we can help you increase the value of your clients’ dental benefit plans in ways that meet their goals. We accomplish this by integrating current market trends, clinical research and treatment protocols into our standard plans – providing coverage for your clients' services their employees want and need. Consider these examples.
Network Dental Fees: Our negotiated network dental fees are typically 15% to 45% below community average charges. All dentists who participate in our PDP agree to accept MetLife’s negotiated fees as payment in full for all covered services provided. Plus, our negotiated fees may extend to non-covered services and services provided after the annual benefit maximum has been exceeded.1
Dental Plan Administration: At MetLife, we continue to streamline and improve the benefits delivery process, enhancing employee satisfaction and making it easier to administer voluntary dental benefit plans in a more efficient and cost-effective manner. Our goal is to create a "quiet" plan to give you and your clients more time to focus on other priorities.
Dental Quality Program: MetLife’s Quality Initiatives Program (QIP) helps ensure that participants and dentists have access to information and tools that can help them make the most of their relationship with MetLife. For you and your clients, our focus on education may assist in reducing administrative “noise” and cultivating a workforce that sees real value in their dental benefits program.
Choice of Dental Providers: MetLife voluntary dental plan participants can choose from more than 156,000 participating dental locations, including more than 38,900 specialist locations. Participants can also choose to go outside the network and still receive benefits, though out-of-pocket expenses may be greater.
MetLife Group Dental is backed by the commitment, knowledge and strength you need to deliver a quality dental benefits plan that satisfies the needs of your clients and their employees. Contact your MetLife representative to learn more.
