When an employee becomes disabled, MetLife will attempt to minimize any interruption to your clients’ businesses and help the employee return to work if appropriate. In fact, we automatically include significant return-to-work incentives to employees in our standard contract, that include:

Reporting and technology capabilities

MetLife offers employers ways to understand and evaluate employee absences including their potential impact on costs, operations and productivity. Reporting and processing services include:

Disability Process Automation (DPA)

A web-based application that prioritizes and distributes critical information in a timely and effective way allowing claim specialists to spend more time on personalized service.

Absence Management Reporting (AMR)5

Provides in-depth statistical reporting with comprehensive analysis resulting in consultative recommendations and strategies and improved processes.

Customer Dashboard Reports6

Provides a snapshot of claim experience, demographics, and claim metrics. Ideal for smaller customers or as a supplement to Absence Management Reporting (AMR) for larger customers.

MetLink

Allows employers to quickly and conveniently administer MetLife employee benefit programs.

MyBenefits

Provides employees with online access and a personally integrated view of their MetLife benefits.

2 Voluntary STD not available in states with statutory plans except NY. Voluntary LTD will be available 4Q 2009 for groups with 10-499 covered lives.

Total Absence Management administrative services are only sold in conjunction with group STD (ASO or insured)  and insured group LTD. The employer’s FML policy must require that the group disability and workers compensation insurance run concurrently with FML.

4 EAP services provided through an agreement with MHN, Inc. MHN is not a subsidiary or affiliate of MetLife and  the services provided are separate and apart from the insurance and services provided by MetLife.
