With MetLife, employees and members of participating groups can choose from a wide array of voluntary benefits supported by a comprehensive service delivery platform.

Today, MetLife and its affiliates are leading forces in the voluntary marketplace, offering you a wide array of the most popular voluntary products, supported by our full-service delivery platform. Our philosophy is to offer one source that is among the best-in-class for that category. Our voluntary products and our third-party products are widely recognized as the best-in-class.

MetLife’s voluntary platform gives you a comprehensive set of services that support all our product offerings, including employee communications, decision support tools, multi-channel enrollment/application acceptance, payroll deduction, and customer service.

Current MetLife enterprise voluntary offerings include auto and homeowners Insurance (from MetLife Auto & Home®), Critical Illness Insurance, and Group Legal Plans (from Hyatt Legal Plans). Through third party arrangements, pet insurance, and a vision discount plan are also available.

MetLife Auto & Home is a brand of Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company and its affiliates:  Economy Fire & Casualty Company, Economy Preferred Insurance Company, Metropolitan Casualty Insurance Company, Metropolitan Direct Property and Casualty Insurance Company, Metropolitan General Insurance Company, Metropolitan Group Property and Casualty Insurance Company, and Metropolitan Lloyds Insurance Company of Texas, all with administrative home offices in Warwick, RI. Coverages, rates, and discounts available in most states to those who qualify.

MetLife Critical Illness Insurance (CII) is a limited group policy. Like most group accident and health insurance policies, MetLife’s CII policies contain certain exclusions, limitations, and terms for keeping them in force. Product features and availability vary by state.  In most states, there is a 30-90 day waiting period after the effective date of coverage.  There is also a pre-existing condition exclusion which varies by state and a benefit suspension period between covered conditions in different categories. Group legal plans are offered by Hyatt Legal Plans, Inc., Cleveland, OH. In certain states, group legal plans are provided through insurance coverage underwritten by Metropolitan Property and Casualty Insurance Company and its affiliates, Warwick, RI.

Veterinary pet insurance is underwritten by National Casualty Company, Madison, WI, in all states except California. In California, policies are underwritten by Veterinary Pet Insurance Company, Inc., Brea, CA. These companies are not affiliated with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company nor its affiliates.

The VisionSavings Eyecare Program is offered by EyeMed Vision Care, Mason, OH.  EyeMed Vision Care is not affiliated with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company and its affiliates.

MetLife Auto & Home, MetLife, Hyatt Legal Plans, Veterinary Pet Insurance Company, and National Casualty Company operate independently and are not responsible for each other’s financial obligations.
