Bill Bearss joined the MetLife Agricultural Investments' International team in April 2006. He is responsible for building the farm and agribusiness portfolio in Canada. Bill has experience in primary production management, agri-sales and marketing, banking, finance, as well as general management.

After graduating from the University of Guelph with a BSc(Agr) and MSc, Bill spent five years as Nutritionist and then Marketing Manager with a major Canadian feed company. From there, he joined the Royal Bank Financial Group serving in various capacities, including in-house Agricultural Consultant, Ag Centre Manager and eventually Manager, Market Strategies for the entire Canadian market. For the past 6 years prior to joining MetLife, Bill was General Manager of Chicken Farmers of Ontario, the provincial organization representing the interests of the 1100 broiler growers in Ontario.
