The Legal Internship Program is an excellent opportunity for first- and second-year law students from every background to gain great hands-on experience at a major corporate entity. Voted 2010 Employer of Choice for the Northeast Region by the Minority Corporate Counsel of America, MetLife’s Legal Affairs team strives to deliver best in class services in every discipline.
MetLife interns are treated like junior attorneys, so they have the opportunity to do real legal work. Interns mentored by attorneys interact frequently with other members of the legal department, research actual legal issues, assist in transactions and write memoranda regarding topics that impact MetLife’s operations. Both Summer and Fall sessions are available, with most participants working in our New York City corporate offices.
Law students from all ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. To qualify, you must have a record of excellent academics and substantial work experience. Moot Court and Law Review students are welcome.
MetLife is proud to be an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer. We are committed to attracting, retaining and maximizing the performance of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
