Where work meets life
Your Career with MetLife Resources
Planning for the future is the essence of everything we do. And as a MetLife Resources Financial Services Representative (FSR), you can plan more on servicing and growing your clientele, thanks in part to the structure, support and training we have in place to help maximize your success.
MetLife Resources is a division of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company that provides retirement and financial solutions for high net worth, educational, governmental, health care and other nonprofit clients. As a MetLife Resources FSR, you’ll have the opportunity to aid employers in designing customized retirement plans through a broad scope of capabilities in the 403(b) and 457(b) markets.
What’s most attractive, though, are the benefits and performance-based incentives available; so while you’re helping your clients attain their own financial freedom and peace of mind, you’ll be working towards securing your own as well.

We work closely with employers and employees. Our FSRs are assigned to a 403(b) or 457(b) employer where MetLife Resources is an approved provider of retirement products. Our FSRs offer prospective clients a full range of retirement products and services such as:

The right tools and practices make all the difference. Starting with your own defined marketplace and assigned territory, we provide you with the support, technology and training you need. A laptop, state-of-the-art financial software and personal Web site will further enable you to do more. Coupled with award-winning marketing and sales materials, you'll be well prepared to maintain your current clients and obtain new ones.
We also encourage professional development with ongoing training and through other educational opportunities. Our training program includes both basic and advanced training. Your career with MetLife Resources starts with an in-depth training program where FSRs learn more about MetLife Resources and our products and services. Advanced training is regularly offered to enhance your knowledge of products, services and encourage ongoing professional development. Many of our FSRs have obtained or are working toward professional designations such as CFP®, ChFC, CLU, etc.
We believe in rewarding successful representatives. Our "do more, make more" compensation plans are based on performance. With different compensation plans designed to meet a variety of lifestyles, you're sure to find a plan that works for you. These plans are generally comprised of salary, draw, a high gross dealer concession (GDC) payout, renewal commissions and asset trails. Top producers are recognized through our four different performance clubs: Golden Circle, Platinum Club, Chairman's Council and Million Dollar Round Table.
Also, as a MetLife Resources employee you have access to MetLife's flexible and comprehensive employee benefits program. You are eligible (with some waiting periods) for health care coverage, disability income benefits, dental insurance, life insurance, employee spending account, retirement plan and participation in our Savings & Investment Plan (which includes a 401(k) option).
We are looking to add motivated and experienced financial services representatives to our sales force. We are seeking individuals who have all required licensing (Securities FINRA 6 or 7, 63, Life Insurance and Variable Annuity Licenses), a minimum of two to three years sales experience, proven prospecting skills, and the ability to offer continuous service to their clients. Professional designations are a plus. MetLife Resources FSRs invest the time and energy necessary to meet the needs of their existing clients while proactively expanding their client base.
