The results show an America that is faced with serious financial challenges, fears of job loss and a greater than ever need for a personal safety net.
But they also show a reshaping of American values, with a new focus on family, marriage, and financial security.
Americans are saving more and spending less, and thinking more about their life goals.
With this new focus on family and saving for the future, we remain an optimistic nation—hopeful that as we redefine the American dream, we can gain control of our own ability to achieve it.
