Ramy Tadros is MetLife’s chief risk officer and a member of the company’s Executive Group. In this role, he is responsible for monitoring, analyzing and managing risk for the enterprise.

Tadros joined the company in September 2017 from Oliver Wyman, the global management consulting firm that is a leader in advising the financial services sector. At Oliver Wyman, Tadros was the global head of the Insurance Practice and a member of the firm’s operating committee.

He has 20 years of experience advising clients in the insurance sector. During Tadros’ time with Oliver Wyman, he advised leading global insurers on risk, finance, strategy, and investment issues, including balance sheet and asset-liability management, product design and hedging. Most recently, Tadros supported the CEO and board of directors of one of the world’s largest global composite insurers in developing an enterprise strategy across its Life, Property & Casualty and Retirement businesses. He also advised MetLife on its challenge to its designation as a Systemically Important Financial Institution and the separation of Brighthouse Financial, Inc.

Tadros has also served as an advisor to leading private equity firms, providing strategic and financial advice regarding acquisitions of insurance and asset management businesses. He provided strategic and financial guidance pertaining to corporate clients on pension risk transfer transactions, including the first three landmark pension risk transfers worth more than $35 billion.

Prior to relocating to Oliver Wyman’s New York office in 2003, Tadros was based in the firm’s London office where he advised clients in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, and South East Asia.

He graduated from Harvard University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, magna cum laude.
