Employee Involvement at MetLife
MetLife recognizes the importance of volunteers and the impact they have on helping others lead better lives. MetLife employees around the world donate their time and talents to help youth develop literacy skills, teach students the importance of financial responsibility, and mentor the next generation of leadership through a variety of outreach initiatives.
In 2016, MetLife employees provided over 90,000 volunteer hours and pro bono professional expertise to a variety of organizations, including our key partners Kiva, Dress for Success and the Taproot Foundation.
- Kiva: Directing Microloans to Low-Income Borrowers
In a new partnership with Kiva, MetLife associates volunteer their time to direct MetLife Foundation-funded microloans to the borrower of their choice.
- Taproot Foundation: Sharing Expertise to Help Non-profits Solve Challenges
MetLife associates have enthusiastically joined forces with Taproot, providing pro bono consulting to non-profits ranging from Junior Achievement to housing organizations to cultural groups.
- Dress for Success: Suiting Up and Showing Up
MetLife offices in the United States, Mexico, and the United Kingdom sponsored workshops where MetLife women volunteered with Dress for Success clients to strengthen their resumes, build interviewing skills, and explore career goals.
MetLife is proud of our employees who actively give back to their communities through 3 primary channels, including:
