METLIFE INTRODUCES NEW PLANNING TOOL FOR BUSINESS OWNERS
System Provides Agents and Brokers with Easy-to-Use Financial Planning Solutions to Better Serve Business Owners
New York, November 27, 2012 - MetLife has announced the launch of a new selling system available to its agent and brokers designed to help producers more effectively market financial solutions to the business owner community. Known as BOSS—or Business Owner Strategic Solutions—the tool is user-friendly and allows financial professionals to more easily identify potential solutions for the business market, while also providing the end user with client-friendly and individually-tailored financial reports.
“We believe BOSS provides producers with the ability to demystify how to provide financial solutions to business owners,” said Paul Lapiana, senior vice president of Individual Distribution, MetLife. “We understand that the business market is a complex one, and as a result, it can often be difficult for producers to easily identify the opportunities that exist. No matter what the business need, BOSS is aimed at helping producers capture a bigger share of the business owner market, and also provide business owners with solutions they critically need.”
Available exclusively to agents and brokers who offer MetLife products, the new tool provides producers instant access to a time-tested sales process, fact finders, and a wide variety of client and producer sales materials. Once logged on, producers have access to a database that allows them to search for an appropriate strategy tailored to important consumer needs in the business planning market, including such areas as retirement income, estate planning, business succession planning, key employee information, disability protection, and executive benefits. In addition, the selling system also includes many types of client and producer brochures, flyers, seminars and sample illustrations that are both easy to use and designed to reduce case design and preparation time.
There are many reasons why the business owner market is an attractive one for producers, and also, many reasons for more businesses to better utilize the services of a trusted financial professional. One simple reason: business owners typically have more complex needs than the average client. Aside from common individual priorities such as income replacement, retirement and legacy planning, they must also actively prepare for the potential loss of key employees, provide benefits to retain top executives, and plan for the day they will no longer be actively involved in the business. BOSS is designed to help producers better identify business owners’ most important financial needs and recommend solutions.
“Our new sales tool combines suggested activities and focused potential solutions targeted to the client’s most paramount financial goals,” adds Lapiana. “By identifying the business owner’s number one objective and offering a targeted solution, it’s our belief that producers are better able to serve a client, close more sales, and as a result, gain more referrals in their market.”
