FUNERAL PLANNING ENHANCES METLIFE GROUP LIFE BENEFITS PORTFOLIO

NEW YORK, March 15, 2010 – MetLife, the largest U.S. life insurer and a leading provider of employee benefits, announced today that funeral planning resources are now provided with all of its Group Life and Accident insurance products. The convenient Funeral Planning Guide helps employees easily document important financial information as well as indicate their funeral preferences, thereby alleviating some of the stress family members may experience during a difficult situation.

The Funeral Planning Guide complements other features available through or with MetLife’s Group Life portfolio, including: face-to-face access to a lawyer for will preparation and estate resolution services; Delivering the Promise® (MetLife’s support program for beneficiaries); travel assistance; and identity theft solutions.
