Associates in MetLife’s Sales Support jobs make significant decisions that affect our customers’ financial and protection planning. This takes professionals who possess good judgment, business acumen and sound analytical skills. These skills and competencies are needed to develop sales tools, recruit and train sales associates, provide producer support, install group contracts, and process sales compensation. In making these determinations, the sales support professional acts as the main link between the insurance carrier and the insurance agent/broker. Our Sales Support careers at MetLife specialize in one of three major categories of insurance: life, health, or property and casualty.
MetLife Sales Support associates understand that their work is not just about calculating numbers. Behind every strategy and action they take are people who will be affected by their decisions. For this reason, we encourage our Sales Support associates to apply both their life and business experiences to the decision-making. Given MetLife’s global reach, an international perspective is always valuable in understanding a customer’s unique needs. We seek individuals from diverse backgrounds who are creative and strategic thinkers – people who are ready to challenge assumptions and produce solid results.
Sales Support can be a rewarding career for anyone who enjoys analyzing complex and detailed information. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills are essential, as much of the sales support professional’s work involves building relationships with agents and other professionals. Many of our entry-level sales support professionals come to us with a degree in business administration or finance, others with courses or experience in accounting. Whether you’re an experienced professional or a college graduate without industry experience, you can count on being rewarded for your performance and meeting more opportunities to enhance your greatest strengths.
