Encouraging mentors, support for receiving professional designations and exceptional mobility give you the added edge you need to succeed.
If you’re ready to work with an employer of choice that’s committed to your growth, we can help you meet both your professional and personal goals at MetLife.
MetLife Actuarial careers offer a diverse range of opportunities to take on complex challenges and help build a collaborative global community. With nearly 500 actuaries (credentialed and students) in the U.S. and over 600 others across more than 35 countries, MetLife is one of the largest employers of actuaries in the world. Stimulating work environments, challenging assignments and world-class colleagues make these careers among the best in the business.
As a member of our Actuarial team, you’ll learn key techniques geared toward valuation, pricing and framing reinsurance structures while maintaining responsibility for all financial aspects of product development and management. You’ll also successfully identify and calculate the risk of loss from policyholders, establish appropriate premium rates and create policies that cover these risks.
We seek individuals from diverse backgrounds who possess good judgment, business acumen and sound analytical skills. Many of our entry-level Actuarial associates come to us with a degree in actuarial science or finance, others with courses or experience in economics or related fields. Whatever your level of experience and expertise, you can be assured of finding the challenges and rewards you’ll need to make life matter professionally and personally.
