Dan Purser, CFA
Dan Purser is a Director of Leveraged Finance Research, Research Analyst at MetLife Investment Management (MIM). Dan joined MIM in December 2025, in connection with the acquisition of PineBridge Investments by MIM.
Most recently, at PineBridge, Dan was the director of Leveraged Finance Research, where he oversaw credit analysis across the platform and led the team’s analyst development program. He was also a research analyst, responsible for analyzing and monitoring credits in the banking and financials, insurance, and REIT sectors. Dan joined PineBridge as vice president, working in the High Yield Group for the distressed fund, eventually taking over management of the distressed fund. Prior to PineBridge, Dan worked at Sandell Asset Management as a senior analyst — Distressed Securities. Prior to that, he was a principal in high-yield/distressed research for Bank of America covering European industrial bonds. Dan began his high-yield career in 1995 for PaineWebber.
Dan received a BS in business administration and a Master of Science in management with a concentration in finance and accounting from the University of California, Riverside. Dan also earned an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is a CFA® charterholder.
