Omar Slim, CFA

Omar Slim, CFA, is co-head of Asia Public Fixed Income at MetLife Investment Management (MIM). Prior to MIM’s acquisition of PineBridge Investments in 2025, he served as co-head of Asia Fixed Income and a portfolio manager at PineBridge, based in Singapore. In that role, he oversaw the Asia Fixed Income team and investment capabilities and managed strategies investing across global and Asian credit, rates and currency markets. He was also a member of the firm’s Global Emerging Markets Fixed Income leadership team, contributing to strategy development, investment implementation and key investment forums. In addition, Omar served as CEO of PineBridge Investments Singapore Limited.

Prior to joining PineBridge, Omar was a senior portfolio manager on the Asian Fixed Income team at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) in Singapore. He began his tenure at SSGA as a credit analyst on the Global Active Fixed Income team in Canada before being promoted to senior portfolio manager, leading a team focused on North American credit markets. In Singapore, he spearheaded the development of SSGA’s Asian credit investment process, expanded credit research coverage and managed both local-currency and hard-currency Asian fixed income portfolios. He also participated in several government-sponsored initiatives aimed at developing and strengthening Asian bond markets. He began his investment career as a credit analyst at BNP Paribas Corporate & Investment Banking.

Omar holds a Master of Science in finance from Boston College’s Carroll Graduate School of Management and completed the Investment Decisions and Behavioral Finance Executive Education Program at Harvard Kennedy School. He is a CFA^® charterholder.
