Coverage is available for boats that are used for private pleasure and recreation. MetLife Auto & Home doesn’t cover commercial, nor boats you own and charter out.
MetLife Auto & Home offers a wide variety of coverage options, including:
When you complete a boater safety course you may qualify for an additional discount. You may also qualify for additional discounts by having additional safety equipment on board when you are on the water.
Liability coverage4: Covers you and co-residing family members who are ever found legally responsible for injuries or property damage involving the ownership, use, or maintenance of your RV.
Medical payments coverage5: Provides payment for injuries resulting from the ownership, maintenance, or use of a covered RV, if you, your family members, or your passengers ever got into an accident.
Uninsured and underinsured motorists coverage1: Ensures that if you got into an accident with someone who didn’t have enough nor any insurance coverage, you’d be covered by your own policy, up to your own limit.
Physical damage coverage2: Covers your RV, if it got damaged from being outside from things, like falling tree branches, fire, theft, vandalism, and more. It can include your RV’s accessories, like special handlebars and sidecars as well.
Special parts coverage: Takes care of out-of-pocket costs for special parts, like tires, brakes, batteries, and shocks with no deduction for depreciation.3
Legal defense costs: Covers you if you’re ever sued. We’d also reimburse up to $250/day, if you ever had to attend a hearing or trial at our request.
We do have optional trailer coverage, which you may add onto your policy. This offers the same broad physical damage coverage to protect any trailers you own and use to transport your motorcycle, snowmobile, or other recreational vehicle.
No. Once your policy goes into effect, coverage stays with you 24/7, 365 days a year, subject to policy terms and conditions.
