National Director, MetLife Food and Agribusiness Finance Group and the Agricultural Investments' National Shared Services Unit
Mike Wilson is the leader of MetLife Agricultural Investments' Food and Agribusiness Finance Group as well as the department's national Shared Services Unit, both of which are headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas.
Mike joined MetLife Agricultural Investments in 2007 and served as regional director for the organization's northern regional office until January of 2014 before relocating to Overland Park to assume his current responsibilities. With a clear focus on the needs of their customers, Mike and his regional team originated over 2.9 billion dollars in agricultural mortgage investments for MetLife from 2007 through 2013.
Prior to joining MetLife, Mike spent 16 years with a major US banking organization. At the time Mike chose to join MetLife, he was managing the business banking and the commercial real estate groups for that bank in central Iowa. Through his years in banking, Mike also managed loan production offices specializing in production agriculture in Wyoming and Nebraska. He later went on to direct business development efforts for the same bank, targeting middle-market companies in a variety of business lines (including agri-business) across Iowa.
Mike attended Iowa State University where he earned a BBA in Finance in 1990.
