Sheedsa Ali, CFA

Sheedsa Ali, CFA, is a portfolio manager and head of Quantitative Equity at MetLife Investment Management (MIM). She is responsible for quantitative equity research and portfolio management for research enhanced strategies. Sheedsa joined MIM in December 2025, in connection with the acquisition of PineBridge Investments by MIM.

Sheedsa was most recently portfolio manager, head of Quantitative Equity for PineBridge. With PineBridge since 2005, Sheedsa was responsible for building, testing, and implementing the research-enhanced platform by quantifying the firm’s equity investment philosophy and research. Previously, she was a consultant for the Financial Models Company working on equity and fixed income attribution models.

She completed graduate coursework as part of the Master of Science in computational finance at Carnegie Mellon University and has an MS from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Sheedsa also holds a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and computer science from St. Francis College in India and an MBA from the University of Hyderabad. Sheedsa is member of MSCI Barra’s client advisory board. She is a CFA® charterholder.
