Doug Lyons

Doug Lyons is a Managing Director, Head of Origination for Private Credit Senior Direct Lending Strategies at MetLife Investment Management (MIM). Doug joined MIM in December 2025, in connection with the acquisition of PineBridge Investments by MIM.

Most recently, at PineBridge, Doug led the origination function for the firm’s private credit business, which is responsible for coordination and strategy surrounding sponsor relationships. Doug has over 25 years of financial advisory and service experience, inclusive of middle market direct lending, investment banking, and public accounting. Prior to PineBridge, Doug was a senior origination team member and head of Origination at Business Development Corp of America. Prior to that role, Doug worked for UBS Investment Bank in its Leverage Finance Group as a managing director, eventually overseeing its leverage finance efforts in the gaming, lodging, consumer, retail, and leisure industry verticals. Prior to UBS, Doug held various financial services and advisory roles at CIBC World Markets, Deutsche Bank Securities, Duff & Phelps, and Coopers & Lybrand, LLP, where he previously held a CPA. His responsibilities at those firms included (i) origination and execution of both private equity supported and non-sponsored financing transactions, (ii) financial fairness opinions and valuation analysis, (iii) middle market M&A transactions, and (iv) public accounting.

Doug received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Southern California and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of California Los Angeles.
