Head of Global Marketing
Brian J. Fox is the Chief Marketing Officer for MetLife Investments. In this capacity, Mr. Fox heads up global marketing, business development, media relations, advertising and public affairs for the group, as well as the development and execution of the group’s global communications strategy. Mr. Fox counsels senior management on high-level communications strategy, business strategy and matters concerning reputation management.
Mr. Fox is a knowledgeable, skillful business leader and noted communicator at both the board and employee level. He has a proven track record in client relations, business to business public relations, thought leadership, crisis management, employee communications, sales, customer relations, government affairs, community relations, organizational development, events promotion, executive positioning and strategic planning. He has outstanding relationships with top-tier financial firms, investment management firms, asset management firms and major media outlets. He is particularly proficient in securing high-impact news coverage.
Mr. Fox is adept at building consensus and partnerships. He is known for being a collaborator that creates strong teams, drives cultural change and produces results. He has extensive experience supporting sales teams and managing crises, especially those that involve sensitive industry issues, regulatory matters, mergers, acquisitions, catastrophes and complex litigation.
Since assuming this position, Mr. Fox's strong strategic leadership has delivered sustainable results to the enterprise and positively impacted the financial results of the business. Under Mr. Fox's direction, the business has been elevated to new levels of financial and operational performance. Specifically, Mr. Fox has helped increase the transaction volume of the private origination asset sectors and significantly raised the profile and visibility of the business. Mr. Fox sets policy guidelines and provides systematic marketing leadership to best position the business and engage its external constituencies including employees, clients, brokers and intermediaries. In addition, Mr. Fox has expanded the company's franchise internationally, and helped to diversify the firm’s investments portfolio globally. Before joining MetLife, Mr. Fox was Senior Vice-President of KOH, Inc., a lobbying, marketing, consulting and public relations firm in Washington, DC.
Mr. Fox aligns investment strategy with business results and is continually seeking ways to grow MetLife's iconic brand around the globe.
Mr. Fox is also active in many industry organizations and philanthropic pursuits. He has served in leadership positions for many cultural, civic and community groups. Mr. Fox currently serves as a Trustee on the Board of Directors of Morris Arts, the Marketing Advisory Council for the New York Blood Center and the Mortgage Bankers Association.
