Thomas Verbeken Manriquez

Thomas Verbeken Manriquez is the Head of Real Estate Risk for MetLife Chile's Investment area. He was appointed to this position in July 2011. Previously, Verbeken Manriquez served on the same Real Estate Risk Area as Associate, since he joined MetLife, in April 2009.
Verbeken Manriquez is responsible for leading the risk team on the risk and profitability valuation for all new real estate loan and equity deals. He is also in charge of the rating and performance follow up processes for Met Chile's real estate portfolio. The position also has the responsibility for research studies from different industry sectors that might be considered for loan or equity opportunities.
Previously to MetLife, Verbeken Manriquez worked in the development area for a regional real estate developer called Parque Arauco, from end of 2006 to 2007, analyzing new opportunities for the holding in Chile. Before, he previously worked in MetLife Chile from 2004 to end of 2006 as Product Manager within the real estate commercial area searching for new commercial loan deals.
Verbeken Manriquez has undergraduate studies of Business Administration in Universidad Católica de Chile and has a Master in International Business Finance in Bournemouth University, UK. He also teaches real estate investment to MBA students of Universidad Catolica de Chile.
