New York Paid Family Leave (NY PFL)

MetLife and AbSolve work together with City of NY to support all aspects of your NY Paid Family Leave (NY PFL) – from absence intake and administration to benefit decision and payment. 

Please check the website to determine if your Union is participating Covered Unions for NY PFL

NY PFL provides job protected leave for: 

  • Child Bonding: Including newborn, adoption and foster placement
  • Family Caregiver: When a covered family member has a serious health condition
  • Military Exigency: When a covered family member is called to active service oversees

If you are eligible and have a qualifying event, you can take up to 12 weeks of paid family leave (or up to 84 days).
