Current employees

• Ask your employing office for any questions related to FEGLI.
• Your employing office keeps your FEGLI records and can provide you with the most accurate information.
• OPM and OFEGLI do not have access to your records and cannot answer your questions. Annuitants and compensationers

Retirees

• Call OPM's Retirement Information Office at 1-88-US-OPM-RET (1-888-767-6738) outside the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area or 202-606-0500 within the Washington area.
• Email OPM at retire@opm.gov.
