The companies in the MetLife, Inc. family (collectively, "MetLife") collect Social Security numbers in the course of their business. MetLife is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your personal information, including your Social Security number. This policy applies to all Social Security numbers collected in the course of MetLife's business. We require that Social Security numbers be maintained in a secure and confidential manner. We limit access only to those who need it to perform their jobs. Our employees and service providers may not access or disclose Social Security numbers except as necessary for MetLife's business purposes. The unlawful disclosure of Social Security numbers by MetLife employees or service providers is prohibited. When records containing Social Security numbers are no longer needed for business or legal purposes, we require that those records be disposed of in a secure and appropriate manner.
