The average claim submission takes 12 minutes or less, however birth and bonding claims take around seven minutes to file.

You may submit and manage the following types of leave through My Leave Navigator:

My Leave Navigator is included in the MyBenefits MetLife member portal. It’s easy to create your account to log in. Once logged in, select File a Disability Claim under the “shortcuts” header—that will take you to My Leave Navigator.

The best way to check the status of your claim is online with My Leave Navigator. Visit MyBenefits and navigate to the Claim Center, where you’ll see a summary of your claim, including the current status and/or decision.

All the information you need to file a claim is provided in MyBenefits. After you’ve logged in, select the Documents & Forms tile to see the forms available to you.

The best way to check your payments is with My Leave Navigator. Log in to MyBenefits and navigate to the Claim Center. Within the Claim Center, select “Details” for the appropriate Absence/Disability card. Select the Payments tab to view payments or go to the Details tab and select the “+” icon to view recent payments and payment history.

You can add or update information at any time in My Leave Navigator. Log in to MyBenefits and navigate to the Claim Center. Within the Claim Center, select “Details” for the appropriate Absence/Disability card and you will be taken to a Summary page. Select the “Details” tab to view the following options:

  • Make updates for return to work
  • Add or edit personal information and preferences
  • View payment information
  • Upload documents
  • Leave comments for a case manager

You can check to see if MetLife has received all your necessary claim information in My Leave Navigator. Log in to MyBenefits and navigate to the Claim Center. Within the Claim Center, select “Details” for the appropriate Absence/Disability card and you will be taken to a Summary page where you can review the details of the claim, status and communication log to ensure you’ve included complete and accurate information for the claim to be reviewed.

My Leave Navigator is the easiest way to learn about your specific disability and leave options. You can also use the platform to further understand the process, file for disability or leave, and check your leave status. Log in to MyBenefits and select File a Disability Claim under the “shortcuts” header and you will be taken to My Leave Navigator.
