HYATT LEGAL PLANS CELEBRATES 10 SUCCESSFUL YEARS AS A METLIFE® COMPANY

Hyatt Legal Plans celebrates its 10th anniversary as a MetLife company today. MetLife’s acquisition of Hyatt Legal Plans in 1997 enhanced MetLife’s employee benefits portfolio while providing Hyatt Legal Plans with an expanded method of distribution and the strength of the MetLife brand.

Since the acquisition, the number of group legal plan sponsors that Hyatt Legal Plans serves has increased from 90 to 1,000. At present, 100 Fortune 500® companies offer services through Hyatt Legal Plans, and the organization continues to grow its business by adding more than 100 new sponsors yearly and through existing plan sponsors. Each year, enrollment in existing plans increases an average of 10% as more employees decide to enroll after hearing about a co-worker’s positive experience with the legal plan.
Associates from Hyatt Legal Plans and representatives from MetLife gathered earlier this month to celebrate Hyatt Legal Plans’ 10 year anniversary as a MetLife company. In addition, this year marks several milestones for Hyatt Legal Plans, including adding its 100th Fortune 500® group legal plan sponsor and commemorating the 30th anniversary of the company’s founding in November.
