METLIFE TO HOLD TOKYO INVESTOR CONFERENCE

MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) will hold an investor conference in Japan at The Grand Hyatt Tokyo at Roppongi Hills on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to approximately 11:00 a.m. local time.
Presenters will include members of MetLife’s international management team. The conference and the accompanying presentation materials will include statements primarily relating to MetLife’s International business, with a particular focus on the company's operations in the Asia/Pacific region.
