The MetLife Yankees Player of the Month Sweepstakes offers fans the chance to be part of New York Yankees history. Each month, from April 2009 through September 2009, one winner is randomly selected from the sweepstakes’ online entrants. Sgt. Alfred Bracy is the third winner of the sweepstakes, earning the once in a lifetime opportunity to present the Yankees Player of the Month Award to the winning Yankee on the field at Yankee Stadium during pre-game ceremonies, before the Yankees game against the Baltimore Orioles on July 20 at 7:05 p.m. In addition to presenting the award, Bracy will receive four tickets to the game and a gift bag.
“Other than my U.S. Army uniform, there is only one other uniform that I would wear with similar pride and that’s the New York Yankees pinstripes” said Sgt. Bracy of U.S. Army’s 3rd Brigade. “I would like to thank MetLife and the New York Yankees for this once in a lifetime opportunity to present the Yankees Player of the Month award.”
Flushing, N.Y. resident, Ester Palermo, was selected as the May 2009 sweepstakes winner and New York City resident David Waldman won in April 2009.

To be eligible for the 2009 MetLife Yankees Player of the Month Sweepstakes, entrants must be a legal resident, age 21 or older, as of April 1, 2009, of NY, NJ or CT, residing within a 75-mile radius of Yankee Stadium, Bronx, NY 10451. Sponsor employees, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and families of each are ineligible to enter or win. Winner transportation and lodging costs are not included. Odds of winning will depend on the number of entries received. Entries for one entry period drawing will not carry over to subsequent entry period drawings.
