METLIFE BOARD OF DIRECTORS SETS DATE FOR 2010 ANNUAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

The board of directors of MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced today that the company will hold its 2010 annual shareholders meeting on Tuesday, April 27, 2010. The board of directors established March 1, 2010 as the record date for determining shareholders entitled to vote at the meeting, which will begin at 1:00 p.m. (ET) and take place in New York City.
