METLIFE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES GRANT TO SUPPORT EARLY FINANCIAL EDUCATION AT MARBLES KIDS MUSEUM

MetLife Foundation and Marbles Kids Museum have announced a $10,000 grant to support financial education field trip programming for school groups visiting the museum. MetLife Foundation's grant will support the museum's Dollars and Sense MasterMind program, which teaches K-3 students about using money responsibly through decision-making games disguised as a magic show. With MetLife Foundation support, Marbles will be able to offer the Dollars and Sense field trip program to thousands of students at no additional cost. Dollars and Sense reinforces the educational content of Marbles signature financial literacy exhibit, Moneypalooza, which is presented by the North Carolina Bankers Association and its member banks.

"I believe early exposure to financial concepts and sound financial habits, such as budgeting and saving, can put children on the path to success," said Geoff Lang, vice president and general manager of Global Technology and Operation, Cary Campus. "MetLife Foundation is pleased to partner with Marbles on the Dollars and Sense program and bring hands-on, fun financial learning to our youngest neighbors in Raleigh-Durham and throughout the state."

"Marbles appreciates the opportunity MetLife Foundation has provided to present our Dollars & Sense MasterMind to even more students," said Sally Edwards, president of Marbles Kids Museum. "We look forward to working with the local MetLife team, including MetLife advisor and Marbles board member Reggie Randolph, as the company's presence grows in the Triangle and throughout North Carolina."

At a recent grant announcement at the museum, Marbles campers joined executives from MetLife for a presentation of the Dollars and Sense program.
