REBECCA TADIKONDA TO JOIN METLIFE AS CHIEF ENTERPRISE STRATEGY OFFICER

MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced today that Rebecca Tadikonda will join the company as chief enterprise strategy officer effective July 21, 2014. She will report to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Steven A. Kandarian.
Tadikonda will lead a team responsible for MetLife's global strategy to drive top-line and bottom-line financial performance. She succeeds Kishore Ponnavolu, now president of MetLife Auto & Home.
"An aligned, integrated enterprise strategy is essential to creating value for customers and shareholders," Kandarian said. "With her extensive experience advising financial services firms, Rebecca will play a critical role in helping MetLife continually adapt to a changing external environment."
Tadikonda joins MetLife from Bain & Company, where she was a partner in the Financial Services practice. She started her career with Bain in New York and then rejoined the company in 2003, where she has counseled insurance clients on large business transformations, global growth strategies, the customer experience, and operational excellence. Tadikonda has also held positions at Verisign and DHL Worldwide Express.
Tadikonda earned a B.A. in economics from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.
