METLIFE NAMED ONE OF THE “TOP 50 COMPANIES FOR EXECUTIVE WOMEN”

Mar 03, 2015

NEW YORK, March 03, 2015

MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced today that it has been named to the 2015 list of Top 50 Companies for Executive Women by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE.) This is the eighth time in the past nine years that MetLife has been named to the list.

NAFE recognizes organizations whose policies and practices encourage women's advancement and whose numbers at the highest levels of leadership demonstrate that commitment. The application includes more than 200 questions on female representation at all levels, with a focus on the corporate officer and profit-and-loss leadership ranks. NAFE tracks how many employees have access to and participate in programs and policies that promote the advancement of women. Another critical metric is how managers are held accountable for the advancement of female employees.

"MetLife is pleased to be recognized by NAFE for our efforts,” said Elizabeth Nieto, global chief diversity and inclusion officer for MetLife. “Women hold many key senior roles in our organization, including on our board of directors and executive group. MetLife is committed to the attraction, development and advancement of women at all levels of the company."

Subha Barry, Vice President and General Manager, Working Mother Media, says, “This year’s winners work hard to nurture corporate cultures that advance and promote women. Top companies continue to support advancement programs; the percentage of companies that offer job rotation, succession planning and career counseling increased from 2014.”
