JASON FUNK JOINS METLIFE INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT AS A DIRECTOR IN THE INSTITUTIONAL CLIENT GROUP IN LONDON

MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) announced today that it has hired Jason Funk as a director in the Institutional Client Group of MetLife Investment Management (MIM). Jason will head up new business development in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA) and will be based in London.

Prior to joining MetLife, Jason was with Lyxor Asset Management, a unit of Societe General, the French financial services institution. At Lyxor he had both product development and sales roles for alternative investments. Jason has also worked at Aurum Funds, an alternative investment group, and at Strathmore Capital, an alternatives investment business.

“Jason is a great addition to our team in London,” said Joseph Pollaro, chief operating officer of MetLife Investment Management. “He has more than 12 years of pan-European sales experience, a substantial track record raising capital for diverse clients and extensive relationship management expertise. His capabilities are valuable assets that will help grow MIM’s institutional asset management business in the EMEA region.”

A lawyer by training, Jason is an American national who lives in London with his family.
