Sustainable and inclusive business participation within MetLife’s supply chain is a major focus of our supplier business strategy. One of the strategic pillars of that effort is the Supplier Inclusion Second-Tier reporting process; a collection and analysis of Tier 2 spend data. This data is key to supporting our strategy while meeting the needs of both our internal and external customers.

Our corporate customers want to know that they are doing business with a company that is socially responsible and shares the same values. Supporting certified businesses, whose ownership identifies as part of a group(s) that has been historically disadvantaged, is a key component of our corporate values.
Tier 2 reporting gives our customers the view of how diligent MetLife is at supporting our Supplier Inclusion program. This reporting can be provided to our corporate customers upon request.
